One new feature of the Workday 2025R1 release is an update to the user interface for the Job Application for external candidates. In this demo, you will get to see the new interface.

We will start by going to the external job board and clicking apply.

The Create Account screen is now a part of the overall application rather than taking them to a different page. Additionally, Workday changed it so that the Create Account option is defaulted rather than the Sign In option.

Once the applicant has entered their information, they can click create account.

This now takes the applicant directly to the application.

The Country option drives the fields someone needs to complete for Legal Name, Address, and Phone number. Different countries have different fields that are required. Previously, Workday defaulted the country to the country where the job was located. With the 2025R1 release, the country will now default based on what country their browser is in when they apply to the job.

The candidate has completed all required fields and is ready to Save and Continue their application.

On the next screen, I wanted to highlight a few changes that UNF has made to make the application process more efficient for the applicant. The Employment History is now optional if they feel their resume or CV is sufficient.
