One new feature of the Workday 2025R1 release is an update to the user interface for the Hire Student Task. In this demo, you will get to see the new interface.

We start by navigating to the Hire Student Task. At this point, we have already selected the supervisory org and the student we want to hire.

As you can see, the screen looks a little different. You now have more information on the right side and some of the fields are in a different order.

For example, End Employment Date has been moved up.

We will go ahead and complete all required fields and hire this student. These are all the same fields that you needed to complete previously.

Once we have all the fields completed, we are ready to click submit.

Previously, you would receive additional tasks such as Change Organization Assignments and Proposed Compensation. With this update, it is now all consolidated into one task.

On the Organization Assignments tab, you still only need to enter in the Key and it will populate the rest of the fields for you.
