Once you have the Word Add-in installed, go back to your workflow's Document Templates page and download your Word document like this:

Open the Word doc from your downloads. Then Click "Document Tagger" in your Add-Ins

This will open the Add-In in this document. Click Start and log in.

You may have to re-enter your subdomain and API key. Click "Sign in"

Now you can use the Add-In to edit this document. Click the dropdown to select the relevant workflow.

Select the workflow that corresponds to this document. Now you have access to all this workflow's variables.

Click "Highlight Syntax" to see all the syntax Blueprint added for you.

Review the document for any variables that were missed. I see one here: This name in the footer should be a variable.

To add a variable here, click "Simple Variables"

Grab the relevant variable. In this case testator_name

Highlight the spot where you want this variable to go. Click "Insert variable"

You'll see that the variable is inserted. You don't have to mess with the syntax!

Rinse and repeat for any other spots where you want to insert a variable.

You may find you want to add a variable that Blueprint didn't create for you. In this case, Attorney Name.

Go back to your workflow. Click "Questions"

Type in the Question title and Variable name. In this case Attorney_name

Click "Save." Congrats! You just created a new question/variable!

In your Word doc, click refresh to pull in that new variable.

Click the dropdown under Simple Variables.

Select the variable, and any formatting you want.

The variable will be inserted wherever your cursor was.

Save your edits in the Word doc by clicking  "Select a document to replace"

Voilà! Rinse and repeat for any other edits you want to make to your document. Next we'll show you how to add logic!
