Add a File to Quarantine in Avast Antivirus

Avast Antivirus automatically moves malicious files to Quarantine if they cannot be repaired. If you have a file on your computer you are unsure of, you could add it to Quarantine and then send it for analysis with Avast. This guide explains how to add a file to Quarantine in Avast Antivirus.

Avast

Double-click **Avast Business Security** on your desktop

Click **Protection** > **Quarantine**

If this is the first time you have clicked on Quarantine, you will see the message Detected threats are stored here. Once you have finished reading this message, click **GOT IT**

Click **ADD FILE...**

Locate the file you want to move to Quarantine and then click **Open**

The file will now be listed in Quarantine

If you move over the file with your mouse, you will see the 3 dots far right. Click this for options.

You can choose to: 1. Restore 2. Restore and add exception 3. Extract 4. Send for Analyse (Recommended)
