Hover over appearance in the left side menu and click "Menus".

Press return or enter to open this section

Click the "URL" field and enter the full URL of the external site. For example, [https://www.google.com](https://www.google.com). 

Click in the "Link Text" field and type the name you want to appear in the menu. For example, Google. When you are finished, click the "Add to Menu" button.

Click the "Save Menu" button when you are finished editing your menu.
