Sometimes you may want to use BMIS to store documents and notes that are asbestos-related but are not required as part of the asbestos management system. To do this, navigate to the "Building Dashboard"

Select the building you want to add notes on. 

Select "Additional Information" from the 

This shows a summary of all the "Additional Documents" and "Additional Notes" within the building. To add a document click here:

Here, you can upload a document, write a description and add tags to make it searchable. Lastly, you have the option to attach it to the asbestos management plan for the building.

Once added your 'Additional Documents' are summarized here. You will notice the 'Attach Status' is marked with a red cross this shows that it will not be attached to the management plan. A green tick will be shown for documents that will be attached to the asbestos management plan.

To add an additional note to the building click here. 

Give the note a title and write some content. You can choose to include this note on the management plan.

You will then see a summary of your Additional Building notes. You can click here to edit your notes. You will notice 'Attach Status' is marked with a green tick this shows that it will be attached to the management plan. You can click here to edit the note. 

This is a note I am writing as an example.

You will then be asked to confirm the delete. Note: Once deleted this cannot be recovered.
