Adding and Managing People in a Deal

In this guide, you’ll learn how to add people to a deal directly in Loft47, whether they’re existing contacts or new contacts who aren’t in the system yet. You’ll also learn how to assign contact roles, add organization details, and manage agent access and primary agent assignments—all without leaving the deal.

Adding an existing People to the Deal

Go to Deal > "People"

Click **“New”** to add a seller, buyer, escrow company, lawyer, other profile, outside agent, or another in-house agent directly within the deal.

Search for the person you want to add to the deal under Existing Profile.

Select contact Role.

Choose the Side.

Click "Save" to add this person on the deal.

Adding a NEW contact directly to the Deal

Click “**Create a New Profile**” if the contact doesn’t already exist in Loft47.

Select the new contact’s Role, such as “Seller.”

Enter the profile name.

Enter the contact’s email address if applicable and complete all other required information such as address, phone number, etc.

Click "Save"

**💡 Tip:** \ If the contact belongs to a company, enter or select the company name in the Organization field. When you save the new contact, Loft47 will automatically create an organization profile if the company doesn’t already exist.

Adding Agent to the Deal

When you add an agent to a deal, an allocation is created automatically.

Navigate to “Allocations” to review the automatically created allocation.

Agent Access Level

Click the pencil icon beside the agent’s name to edit their access.

Set the agent’s access level for this deal to Read or Write, depending on the permissions they need.

Click "Update" to save.

Switch Primary Agent

To switch the primary agent to another in-house agent, select the agent you want to designate and click “Make Primary Agent” first.

You can then remove the previous primary agent if needed. \ To do so, click the pencil icon beside the previous primary agent.

and click Remove Person.

**💡 Tip:** If the contact has an associated deposit or financial transaction, you must reverse the transaction first. Once reversed, you can remove the contact from the deal.
