Assign a Gift Card to a Patient

Before a gift card can be used, it needs to be assigned to the patient who will be redeeming it. There are two ways to do this — directly from the original invoice, or by having the patient provide the gift card code. You can also apply the code directly when paying an invoice.

**From the invoice**, open the invoice the gift card was purchased on and click on the gift card you want to assign

In the Gift Card Details panel, click the recipient's name to open the assignment dialog

From the drop-down menu, search for and select the patient the gift card should be transferred to.

Then click "Assign Gift Card"

The Gift Card Details panel will update to show the new recipient, and the gift card is now ready for them to use.

**To transfer a gift card if the patient provides the code**, navigate to their Patient360 and click "Financials,

Click "Gift Cards"

Click "Redeem Gift Card"

Paste the code

The matching gift card will appear

Review the details to confirm it's the right card, then click "Redeem Gift Card"

The gift card will now be assigned to the patient and visible in their Gift Cards list.
