Avast Antivirus Restart Needed

If Avast Antivirus installs an update that requires a restart of your computer, you will be prompted that a restart is needed. It's important not to ignore this message and restart your computer as soon is convenient, which then installs the required security update.

Occasionally when Avast Business Antivirus updates, a restart needed message will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. If it is a convenient time to restart your computer and you have closed all programs plus saved all your files, click on **RESTART NOW**

Otherwise, if it is not a convenient time to restart your computer, click on **RESTART LATER**

Select the amount of time before you want the restart to occur. In this example I will click **In 1 hour**

If you select Never (cancel restart) and do not restart your computer, this is a security risk to you as you are not allowing Avast Business Antivirus to install the required security update.

If the Avast restart needed message disappears, you can also open Avast Business Antivirus (Security) and click on **RESTART NOW**
