Access the Schedule Designer by choosing the "Classes and Registration" tile from your Student Center in your [MyBGSU account](https://my.bgsu.edu/).

Select "Schedule Designer" in the left navigation menu.

Choose the "Schedules" tab from the menu bar.

Use the drop-down menu to select the term you want to build a class list to begin searching for courses. Click the "change" button to confirm your selected term.

The dropdown menu is displayed to select the appropriate term. Please note: use the fields to limit course results.

A gray button above the class search section is selected to indicate the completion of adding courses.

When all desired courses have been added, select the "Finished Adding Classes" button.

There are two options for building your ideal class schedule. The Schedule Designer can auto-generate multiple schedules or you can create your own.

A gray text box explains the "add busy time" feature. To set preferences, select the gray button titled "add busy time".

Block off unavailable time periods by selecting "Add Busy Time".

Set the name and time patterns, confirm your settings by selecting the "Save" button. \
A text field is available to name your busy time, drop-down menus indicate start and end times and check boxes set the days of the week.

Use the green "Save" button to confirm your busy times.
When all busy times have been saved, select the  "Finished Adding Busy Times button to proceed to either the "Create Your Own" or "Auto-Generate" options.

Easily select course offerings based on the class list to manually build your ideal schedule.

The first button in the "build your schedule" text box is green, highlighted with a selection shape to indicate choosing this option.

The "Create Your Own" button allows you to manually begin building a schedule.

Select each course from the drop-down menu to review all offerings. **IMPORTANT**: Verify the campus for the selected course by using the blue info icon. If assigned, room location and instructor can also be found here.

The legend links indicate status definitions. A green checkmark indicates complete, in progress is indicated with a white ellipsis on blue backgroun and unfulfilled is indicated by a white x on red background.

The legend icons indicate the status of courses listed in your schedule.

Review and Finish Schedule (Create your own option)

When all selections have been added to the schedule select "Finish Editing Sections".

Once the perfect schedule is planned, it's time to enroll! Set the correct schedule as "Primary Schedule" and select "Add to Cart". You will be redirected to your shopping card to complete the enrollment process.

Allow the Schedule Designer to use your preferences to build prioritized schedule options for you.

The second tab titled busy times is highlighted orange indicating the active area. Two  rows indicate two blocked days and times for unavailability with selected days indicated by checked boxes below the day of the week.

Block unavailable time periods by selecting the "Add Busy Time" button. Set the name and time patterns.

Make sure you confirm your preferences by selecting the "Save" button.

Select the "Configure Preferences" button to review and set all preferences.

Proceed through each preference category by selecting "Next" at the end of each page.

Select the  "Save and Finish" button once all preferences have been set.

IMPORTANT: Always set your campus under the "Additional Preferences" category. Do NOT choose the "Save and Finish" button until all preferences have been set.

Set the maximum number of schedule you want the Schedule Designer to auto-generate from the drop-down menu. Confirm your selection by clicking the "Generate Schedules" button.

Schedules will be generated and prioritized based upon preference settings. Specific sections may be saved to all schedules by selecting the "lock" icon.

Choose the "View Details" button to open each schedule.

Classes can be removed by selecting the red trashcan "Delete" button. This can be completed during the class search or view schedule steps.

Select the "Finished Editing Sections" button when you're satisfied with a schedule option.

Review and save as many desired schedules using the "Return" and "Save" buttons. To confirm your ideal schedule, select the "Make Primary" button above the preferred schedule.

Once the perfect schedule is planned it's time to enroll! Select the "Add to Cart" button to be redirected to your shopping cart to complete the enrollment process.

You are in control of the courses you register for by setting preferences for days, times and instructors. Set busy times for things like work, athletics or other commitments. Auto-generate multiple schedule options and use the lock tool to secure your ideal courses. Once you've confirmed your final list, share your schedule with friends, parents or work supervisors.
