Backup CS Time using Backup Module

It's important to back up the CS Time data files at least weekly to avoid the risk of losing all your data. Don't rely on other backup software you might be using as it might not backup CS Time data files in use. This guide will help you back up CS Time data using the CS Time Backup Module.

Open the CS Time Backup Module

When the Backup and Restore Module starts, the message “Alerting CS Time Server" will be displayed in the toolbar and the CS Time User, Config and Server Modules will be shut down. This is done so that the system data is not used while a backup or restore functions are being performed.

Click on the Start Backup button and the Back Up Data window will be displayed.

Type in the appropriate drive and path to be used for backing up or use the select button to map the drive and or directory

The Email Data To Support Staff check box enables you to select that an email will be sent providing the support staff with an attached copy of the backup file. This option is only available if a support email address has been entered in the Configuration Module.

If you want the module to close after completing the backup, select the **Close Backup Module When Done** check box. As standard, it is enabled.

Click **Start**

Click **Continue** to start the backup process

After the backup has completed, the Backup Completed window will be displayed identifying that the backup was successful. Click **Ok** to close the window

To close the module, select Exit from the File dropdown menu to close the Backup and Restore Module
