Open MS Word and log into the Kurtosys Studio for Office add-in.

Select "Cell Styles" to setup a new cell style.

Toggle between "Local" and "Shared" to view local or shared cell styles.

Local styles are not shared and cannot be used in another document.

Shared styles, like the name suggests, can be used across MS Word and MS Excel documents.

Click the + button to create a new style.

Give your new style a name. The name should consist of lowercase letters and underscores only as this is an identifier (like a code) for your new style.

Indicate whether the style should be shared across the organisation.\

If "Share the Style across Organization" is not selected your style will be "Local", which will enable you to only use the style in the current document.

Select the options for your shared style, Italic is selected for this style.

Once you have selected your shared style options, click "Save" to save the style.

Your newly created style will appear in your list of Cell Styles.
