Tip! This action can be done by SoA staff who are Editors of the site on behalf of students who need their user status changed from Contributor to Author.

Tip! You will need the student's RMIT email address to find their user details

Navigate to [https://sites.rmit.edu.au/artschoolgraduates/wp-login.php](https://sites.rmit.edu.au/artschoolgraduates/wp-login.php)

insert the student email in the Search User bar

Click the checkbox that relates to the student. Note that in this example you can see that the student is a Contributor in the Role column.

Click the 'Change role to... ' drop down menu and select the "Author" option.

Click this button to change the user role.

Click "Author" tab to confirm that the role has changed

"Celine Babet" is now an author who will be able to edit and republish their post independently.
