To log in, enter your Org ID, and then your Username and Password. (If you haven't received this info or are having issues, contact your Customer Experience Talespin team member)!

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Main Menu)**\

Here are some tips about the Main Menu screen of CoPilot Designer.\
\
Remember that your Main Menu will likely have no projects in it yet if this is your first time logging in! Now let's get started creating a project!

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a Project File / Templates)**\
\
In the next step, we'll show you how to create a new Project. But first, we wanted to point out that there are CPD Templates available for you to download and import into CoPilot Designer, if you'd like to view some examples!\
\
Go to [Level 4: Lesson 2 in TSU](https://talespinuniversity.com/tsu-lessons-db/lesson-2-cpd-templates) and download the CPD Template project files first! Within that TSU lesson, you'll also see a more detailed tutorial for how to import the files and use the companion guide.\
\
It's really as simple as clicking "Import" and select the file from your downloads folder! Once the templates have imported, click "Edit" to open the Project and view the Flows. From there, you can follow the rest of the steps in this guide to get started with Project Setup.

Click the "Create" button to create a new Project.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Project and Title)**\

Click the "Name" text field to add a title for your project, and then click "Create".

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Project Options: Flow List)**\
\
This first area you'll see is the Project Options setup area. Here you will edit the details & settings for your overall Project and for each individual Flow within your Project.\
\
Before we utilize the "Flow List" section to create a Flow, let's notice the other options on the left-side menu panel.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Details Menu - Project Description)**\
\
Click the "Details" tab. Here you can edit the details of the overall Project, including the Project Name and the Description, which will be seen by the learner when they enter the experience.\
\
**\*Note:** Notice the link provided in this window for the location in Dashboard where you can edit the "Additional Metadata in the Talespin Dashboard."

Click "Details" on the side menu. \
Edit the Project Name and Description.

Click the "Enter module description…" field.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Publication Menu)**\

Next on the left-side menu is the "Publication" tab. This is where you can "Submit (your project) for Talespin Review" when you are ready.\
\
**\*Note:** the Publication page will not open until you have created at least 1 Flow.\
Click "Open Flow List" to go back and create your first Flow.

Let's circle back to the top tab of the left-side menu: "Flow List".\
\
Click the plus icon to create a new Flow within your Project, and you'll be prompted to edit the Flow Details.

Click this icon to create a new Flow within your Project.

(**\*Note:** If you had already previously created a Flow and would like to add another, Click "+ New Flow" button.)

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Name & Language)**\

To edit the Flow Details: \
Click the "Name" field and write a name for your Flow.\
Click the "Language" field to edit the language, if desired.\
\
**Pro Tip** - Choose the language which you will use to write your dialogue and add generated or voiceover audio in CoPilot Designer. This original set language will be the only language option in which your learner can take the Flow.

Click to change the language, or leave it set as "English (United States)".\

**Pro Tip** -  Choose the language which you will use to write your dialogue in CoPilot Designer. This will be the language that the generated audio will speak in the Performance Editor, and it will be the only language option for your learner to take the Flow in.

(**\*Note:** This is an example of what a Project with 3 Flows will look like in CPD vs. how it will appear as a "module" in TSA: Talespin App.) 

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Type)**\
\
Choose a "Flow Type".\
\
Remember that you can only have 1 Pre Assessment and 1 Post Assessment - while you can have as many Lessons as you’d like. You may also want to use just Lessons - there is no "one correct method" here!\
\
\- *Only 1 maximum of Pre-Assessment or Post-Assessment may be used.* \
\- *Not all Flow types need to be used! (For example: you may use all Lessons, or just 1 Post-Assessment or one of each)*\
*\- Modules will always be presented in the order: Pre-Assessment - Lesson(s) - Post-Assessment.* \
\
\
**Here is how the Flow Types differ:**

Each Flow Type changes some of the functionality around what you can do with your Flow both in CoPilot Designer (and how that presents in the experience for the user) and also how it shows up in Dashboard!

- **Pre-Assessment -**
  - CPD: Pre-Assessments do not have the "Exit to" feature.
  - Dashboard: A user's score (from ONLY the first time a user takes that Pre-assessment Flow) will be recorded as a baseline in Dashboard
- **Post-Assessment -**
  - CPD: Post-Assessments include a pre-generated Results screen. Post-Assessments do not have the "Exit to" feature.
  - Dashboard: A user's score is recorded in Dashboard as well, however, (contrary from the Pre-Assessment which only shows the first-time score), the score from any time that a user takes the Post-Assessment will be shown, so you can see them in comparison.
- **Lesson -**
  - CPD: A Lesson Flow type has a feature called: "Exit to", which is helpful to navigate learners wherever you'd like to at the end of the Flow - for example exit them back to the main menu, or to a different module or a different flow!
  - Dashboard: User's scores are recorded and shown in Dashboard, and like Post-Assessments, you can see scores from all times a user takes that Lesson, to see the progression over time. (They do not record as a baseline like Pre-Assessments).

For this example, we'll select a Lesson Flow Type.\
\
Click "Create" to go to the Flow Editor where you can start plotting your Flow!

After clicking "Create", you'll be brought to the Flow Editor and you'll notice that a Start Node will already be on your otherwise blank canvas. \
\
Before we begin to work on the Flow - let's actually quickly navigate back to the previous Flow List screen to view the new Flow settings options that weren't there before creating the Flow. \
\
You will want to know about this (less obvious) menu that has some settings that may be crucial to your setup!\
\
Click the arrow in the top left corner to go back to the previous screen.

On the Flow you just created, click the three vertical dots menu to view the options.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Settings Menu - Copy / Move a Flow to another Project)**\
\
Click "Copy To" - for the option to move a Flow to another Project.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Settings Menu - Duplicate a Flow)**\
\
Click "Duplicate" - for the option to duplicate the entire Flow.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Settings Menu - Export Flow CSV File)**\
\
You also have the option to "Export CSV" file.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Settings Menu - Flow Description, Card Image, Audio & Score Settings)**\
\
Click "Settings" to open up a new right-hand panel menu of optional metadata that you may want to edit:

- Add a Flow Description
- Add Flow Card Image: PNG, JPG or BIT (up to 10MB)
- Change Audio settings
- Add an Aced Percentage or Passing Score

Click "Settings" to open up a new right-hand panel menu.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Settings Menu - Visible in Flow Menu Option)**\

The "Visible in Flow Menu" option is important to notice, as all Flows will be automatically visible in the Flow Menu of your Project unless you change this setting.\
\
**\*Pro Tip -** Making a Flow invisible may be a useful tactic for designers that want a secret or earned part of an experience, for instance.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Create a New Flow - Flow Settings Menu - Edit Flow)**\

Okay, great! Now let's go back into the Flow and get into the real fun part of CoPilot Designer!!\
\
Click "Edit" to open the Flow again.

**PROJECT SETUP & MENUS OVERVIEW: (Start Building a New Flow - Set the Scene First)**\
\
Again - you'll be brought to the Flow Editor and notice that a Start Node will already be on your otherwise blank canvas. \
\
Before starting to plot your dialogue, you'll want to choose the environment setting and virtual human characters for your scene. (You want to do this first so that when you add Dialogue Nodes in your Flow, you can choose which Virtual Human you want to speak).\
\
Click on "Scene" on the left-hand menu.
