When an inspection has been completed by an external surveyor, you will get an email notification that the inspection has been completed. 

Tip! The link in the email will take you to the inspection summary table for the building, or this can be accessed through the 'Project Management' &gt; 'Inspection Tool' link in the BMIS navigation.

The inspection summary table for the building shows all current inspections and their respective statuses and available actions. To view the tasks set during the inspection, click on the task link for an inspection.

A task can be marked as complete by ticking the box next to the task. To close the pop-up window, Click "Ok"

To view the inspection notes taken during the inspection, click on the notes link for an inspection.

To perform an inspection review, click on the PDF icon to download the draft inspection report, and review the document.

Tip! The inspection report is a very basic document that only outlines the changes made to the building asbestos information during the inspection, or highlights items that have been removed or made accessible for surveying.

If the inspection is satisfactory, click the 'Thumbs Up' icon to approve the inspection, a final report will be generated and the new data will be merged with main BMIS asbestos database. 

If the inspection is not satisfactory, you can edit it yourself by clicking on the 'eye' icon, or decline by clicking on the 'Thumbs down' icon. This will send the inspection back to the surveyor to update and re-submit.

Tip! Any changes made to the data are recorded in the [asbestos change register](https://bmis.nz/support/asbestos/asbestos-change-register/).
