Courses: Staff Rootwurks LXP Onboarding

This course shows you everything you need to know to confidently navigate and complete a Rootwurks training course. You’ll learn how to start a course, interact with videos and exercises, control audio and use captions, and track your progress. We’ll also walk you through how to complete knowledge checks, exit properly, and download your certificate when you’re done.

Rootwurks

First, head to the Rootwurks login page. Enter your email and password in the fields provided, then click the **Login** button. If you’ve forgotten your password, just click the link below to reset it.

Once you're logged in, you'll land on your dashboard where you'll see your learning and your schedule on the right. You can filter your schedule by day, week, and month.

To start a course from your schedule, select Start at the top right of the course tile.

You can also access your course by clicking the main navigation hamburger menu at the top left, then select Courses in the drop-down menu, which will take you to a page with all your scheduled courses. Here you'll be able to start a course by selecting "Start Now" at the bottom right of the course tile.

To start a course from Your Learning, click on the course tile you want to start.

Course Controls

Now let's take a look at the course controls. Use the green Continue button to start or continue to the next module.

Video and audio start automatically. Click the pause button to pause at any time. Click the play button to resume

Click the speaker icon to mute or unmute video or audio. Use the slider to adjust the volume to your preference.

To turn on closed captions, just click the CC button in the bottom left corner of the player. To close, just click the CC button again. This is a great option if you prefer to read along or need visual support for audio.

Click the hamburger menu icon at the top left to open the Course Menu.

You can see your progress and navigate between previously viewed sections from this menu.

To close the menu, select the arrow button

Use the continue, left, and right arrows to navigate between sections and slides in the course. You will not be able to select the right arrow or continue button until the end of the audio or video, or complete all the interactions on the slide.

Need a closer look? Click the Full Screen icon in the top right corner of the player. Press Escape on your keyboard to exit full screen at any time.

How to exit and save your progress

Let's walk through how to exit your course while saving your progress. When you're ready to take a break, click the Exit Course button in the upper right.

You’ll be asked to confirm. Don’t worry—your progress is automatically saved. Click **Save and Exit** to safely leave and return later right where you left off.

You’ll return to the "Courses" section, where you can see your progress and resume anytime.

How to restart a course already in progress

Need to jump back into a course you already started? From your dashboard schedule, look for the course marked “In Progress” and click "Resume" Or click on the course tile under "Your Learning" which will also show "In Progress".

You can also resume in progress courses from the courses page. Look for the course marked “In Progress” and select "Resume".

Hotspot interactions

Let's take a look at how hotspot interactions work. When you see a screen like this with red circles, each red circle marks a clickable hotspot.

Click on each hotspot to open a pop-up with details

Click “Got it” to close the pop-up

Once viewed, the hotspot turns green so you can track your progress.

After you’ve clicked all hotspots, the right arrow will turn green and you can progress to the next slide.

Image interactions

You'll also come across image interactions. Interactive images will have an arrow icon at the bottom right. Click the image to show a pop-up.

Click the image to show a pop-up. Each pop-up gives you a quick explanation and/or and additional image. When you're done, click **Got It** to return and mark the interaction as complete.

Once an interactive image is viewed, you’ll see a checkmark next to it so you know it’s complete.

After you’ve clicked each image, the interaction is complete and you can move forward.

Resources

Some courses have course-related resources such as templates or additional documentation. If you're looking for these course-related materials, scroll down below the player window. You’ll find a “Resources” section, where downloadable links are listed.

Click on the download icon to download resources.

Knowledge Checks

Let’s review knowledge check questions. These short quizzes help reinforce what you’ve just learned.

Simply select the best answer and click Submit.

If you get it wrong, you’ll get another attempt. If you get it wrong again, you’ll get helpful feedback. If you get it right, that’s great! Whether you pass on the first try or need a second, you'll always see the correct answer along with a clear explanation to support your learning.

You’ll also see true or false questions. They work the same way

Before you go, there’s one important step left. After finishing the last activity or quiz, **don’t close the tab or window just yet**. **Wait until you see the message** that says, *“You have completed your scheduled course.”* Once you see that confirmation screen, it’s safe to close your browser. This ensures your progress is saved—and you get credit for completing the course.

Accessing your certificate

Here's how to access your certificate. From the main navigation. Navigate to the “Courses”.

You’ll see the course catalog at the bottom.

This is where you'll find courses you've completed. Click the three-dot action menu at the top right of a course card, then select Download Certificate. Your browser will confirm the download, and you can open the file from there to view or save it.

You can also access all your certificates from the main menu. Click the hamburger icon in the top left, then select Certificates

This will take you to a page that lists all certificates you’ve earned—along with issue dates, expiration dates, and quick links to **View** or **Download** each one. When you click **View**, your certificate will open in a new tab.

You can also access the certificates page by clicking on "Certificates Acquired" at the top right of your dashboard.

To download, just click the green **Download** button at the top right.
