Click "Assets" from the Items module on your EZO CMMS dashboard.

Choose the asset for which you want to set a meter. For this example, we'll use "Building Elevator."

The most accurate meter for the building elevator is the number of trips. You can add meter readings for the asset by clicking the "+" button next to the meter.

For example, you can enter 600 as the meter reading for the building elevator. After that, click "Done" to proceed.

To view the history of the meter reading of the asset, click the timer icon.

Here you can see the entire history for the meter readings of the asset.

Next, let's set up automation for meter triggers. Click on "More" and then select "Automations."

From the Trigger drop-down, select "Assets," and then choose "Field is updated" from the next drop-down menu.

From the Field drop-down menu, select "Number of trips".

In the next drop-down menu, select the "Every" condition.

Enter 500 as the number of trips, then provide a name for the workflow.

In the "Steps" section, select "Create a Work Request," then enter a description in the next field.

Click the "Save" button once you're done.

Finally, click "Activate" to enable and run the workflow automation.

This confirms that the workflow automation is now active. Meter thresholds can trigger actions based on asset readings. For instance, when the meter reading for the asset is updated, the system will automatically trigger an action, such as creating a work request to check the elevator's oil level after it completes 500 trips.

A work request for "Oil level check" is automatically created each time the elevator completes 500 trips.
