Create a Zoom Room Event in Google Calendar

This guide shows you how to create a Zoom Room event in your Google Calendar. Doing this will create the event within the Zoom Room panel in the room itself to start directly from the room without needing your computer. Creating a Zoom Room event will also prevent double scheduling in the room. If the time slot is already taken, the new event will be denied. Event coordinators can overwrite / manage meetings, if needed.

Zoom

Google Calendar

Click in your Google calendar where you want the Zoom event

Click "Add video conferencing"

Select "Zoom Meeting"

If this is the first time you've create a Zoom Meeting on Google Calendar, it might prompt you to "Log in". If not, skip to step 7

A new box will appear. Click "SSO" on the bottom

For the "Company Domain", enter maritime-edu and then click "Continue"

To add a Zoom room, click "Add rooms"

Click the building of where the Zoom Room is located

Select the Zoom Room

Once selected, go back

Invite your guests by selecting this box

Search the directory for your guests

Click "Add title" to name the event

Click "Save"

You can now see your Zoom Room event listed in your calendar

To view the events or start a Zoom meeting from the room itself, tap on the Zoom Room panel within the room

To start a meeting, tap "Start"
