Create a test MBA/EMBA Application

Navigate to [https://apply.business.cornell.edu/s/](https://apply.business.cornell.edu/s/)

Click "First-Time Applicants"

Enter your name, email address, and a password. **Name:** it is helpful to add text to your first name or last name to easily identify it as a test record, such as appending 'Test' to your name. **Email**: emails are part of the application process, to please utilize a real email address (not your @cornell.edu email address). Gmail has a feature where you can use the first part of your email address and append '+' and text prior to the '@gmail.com' that will send emails to the real email address but allow you to reuse a single email address multiple times. **Example:** firstnamelastname+testapp1@gmail.com. **Password:** the password must be at least 8 characters and include at least one number and symbol.

On the dashboard, click "+ Add New Application".

Select the MBA or EMBA program to create a new application. For this example, click "Two-year Ithaca MBA"

**IMPORTANT!** Once you have created your application in step 5, login to Salesforce and mark your application as a Test Application. This prevents the test applications from uploading to PeopleSoft as a real applicant and filters out test applications from reports and dashboards. Follow steps 6-

You can search for your application in Salesforce by clicking the global search bar at the top of the screen and typing in the first name and last name or email address that you used to create the applicant account in step 3.

You can filter down to applications by clicking "Admissions Applications" on the left hand side of the screen.

Find the application that you created and click the 'A-######' hyperlink.

On the application record under 'Internal Information', click the pencil icon next to the 'Test Application' checkbox field.

Click the "Test Application" field checkbox and click "Save" at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

Switch back to your applicant portal tab and click 'Edit Application' to continue with your application.
