This brings us to the inspection tool home page. This layout if different to the other BMIS pages because it has been optimised for use on a mobile device. Click "Create an inspection survey" to being the process of setting up a reinspection survey.

Give the inspection a Title, bearing in mind that the building is already set.

The 'Assign to' field sets who will perform the survey. If you plan on doing it yourself, set to 'Myself', otherwise click on the drop-down menu and select a saved surveyor from your list, or select 'Custom' to add a new surveyor.

Enter the details of the surveyor and then click the "Mark as favourite" field to save their details for next time.

Tip! The surveyor does not need a login username and password to BMIS, they will be sent a unique 'Magic Link" via email which gives them one-time access to perform the survey.

Click "Next - select floors for inspection"

Click the "Select all" field to add all floors to the reinspection, or choose individual floors. You can also add a note here which the surveyor will be able to see when performing the reinspection.

Click on 'Save and sent to surveyor' to finish setting up the reinspection. This will now email the surveyor with a unique link to access the survey. If you selected yourself as the surveyor, an email won't be sent, but the inspection will now be available to start.

Click 'Home'. You are now back at the inspection table, where you can view a summary of current inspection and their status. If the surveyor didn't receive the email with the link for the inspection, you can click on the 'link' icon to copy the link of the inspection, to pass on to your inspector directly. Can can also view the inspection yourself, by click on the 'eye' icon button, or delete the inspection by using the rubbish bin icon.
