The Person content type utilizes rich text and relevant fields for any type of staff / person entry. Begin creating your page by filling out any necessary fields.

When uploading a staff image, always optimize the image size before uploading (ideally less than 1MB in size). The recommended image dimensions for Person entries are 634 x 846 pixels with a resolution of 72 DPI.

**Please note**: If no image is uploaded, the RCCL displays a default gray person icon as a placeholder.

Continue filling out any necessary fields such as the person's title, location address, phone, website, etc.

The [[staff directory unit]] and [[grouping]] fields reference person related taxonomy categories. Taxonomies are used to group and filter people across your site. It's a good practice to setup your taxonomy categories before creating a Person page.

To setup taxonomies, go to [[Structure &gt; Taxonomy]] in the content management system and select staff directory unit, people grouping, and/or campus location. Learn more by reviewing the [Person demo page](https://rccldemo.rutgers.edu/people/test-person-1).

If your person entry requires a resume or other document, upload a PDF to your media library and attach to the page.

After all necessary fields have been entered, more content can be added to your Person page by creating Profile Chapters which utilize rich text.

When you're done building your page, give one final preview before committing and saving your changes. You can keep your page in draft mode (only visible to logged in users) or publish the page for all users.

Always write good revision notes before saving so you can easily reference previous page versions.
