Navigate to your course in Blackboard Ultra.

Click on the line or on the plus between content items.

In the 'Topic' area, you can create a question that the AI will use to have a Socratic conversation with students.

In this area, you can indicate the name of the AI, its personality (including its occupation, personality or mood), as well as the image of the AI conversation bot that will be found in the chat.

When changing the image, you can "Upload from Device", find "Stock images from Unsplash", or "Generate images" using AI.

Once you've selected and edited the image you would like to use, click "Save".

Using this slider, you can also set the complexity for the responses, which will make the AI ask easier or harder questions during the conversation.

Click "Save" once you are happy with the AI settings.

You can also edit the Reflection Question students need to answer after the activity by clicking on the ellipsis and selecting "Edit".

You can insert your own reflection question, or simply leave the pre-set reflection question.

In what ways did the conversation advance your understanding of the topic?

Click "Save" once you've made the changes you wanted to make.

Click "Preview chat" to test how the AI Conversation will work based on the settings you've selected.

Click on the settings icon to change the settings for this activity.
