To delete data from the Data Hub, the **Data Delete** module should be activated and the user requires the **Delete Entity** permission.

To activate modules, please contact Kurtosys support.

Note that this is a permanent action and you will not be able to restore the entity data after you have deleted it. The entity data will have to be reloaded if it has been deleted.

By following the steps below, you can delete data related to:

- Allocations,
- Statistics,
- Timeseries,
- Transactions, and
- Historical Datasets

Navigate to the Data Hub by clicking on the **Data** tab

Select **Benchmark Data**.

Select all the entities that you want to delete by checking the check boxes next to them. You can select all the entities on a page (20 entities) by checking the check box in the header row.

You are only allowed to select 100 records for deletion at one time.

Once all the relevant entities have been selected, click **Selected** to open the bulk actions menu.

Click **Delete Selected Entity Data** to initiate the Entity Data Deletion Wizard.

Click **Clear Selected** to clear the selected entities.

Step 1 of the Entity Data Deletion Wizard is a selection step to choose if you want to delete all the selected entities, with all the associated data.

Select **No, keep entities, but delete related data**.

The data related to the selected entities available for deletion is displayed in an expandable tree structure.

By selecting **All Entity Data** you can delete all the Allocation, Historical Datasets, Statistics, Timeseries and Transactions data from the selected entities.

Alternatively, you can specify the Allocation, Historical Datasets, Statistics, Timeseries and Transactions data that you want to delete from the selected entities.

When you have selected all the related data to delete, click **Next** to continue to step 2.

Click **Cancel** to return to the Data Hub.

Step 2 of the Entity Data Deletion Wizard is a review step to review the selected data for deletion.

Click **Next** to continue to step 3.

Click **Cancel** to return to the Data Hub.

Click **Back** to return to step 1

Step 3 of the Entity Data Deletion Wizard is a confirmation step to confirm the deletion of the selected entity data for deletion.

Follow the prompts and complete the input field. Type "**delete**".

You will not be able to continue with the deletion process until the text input has been confirmed to be correct.

Once the entered input has been validated, **Delete** will activate and you will be able to complete the final step of the delete process. Click **Delete.**

Click **Cancel** to return to the Data Hub.

Click **Back** to return to step 2.

A green successful task pop up bar will appear across the bottom of the screen.
