This is achieved by adding the Tag "2024 AWARD WINNER" to the metadata for the profile. I promise it is very simple!

Find the graduate profile for the award winner.

Navigate to the graduate profile via the program/studio page or search via the magnify glass icon in upper right corner.

Click the "Search" field and type name of graduate

Click the name of the graduate to open their profile from the search results.

Add name of the award to the top of the graduate profile

Click "Edit Post" option that appears at the top of your screen. Note that you need to be logged into the site to see this menu option.

Unearthed looks at the hidden networks below the surface that create a complex, functioning ecosystem that is older than humanity.

I derive my forms to represent the connections between mycelium and tree roots; these organisms infuse landscapes. My work aims to emulate the inner workings of plants and mycelium that are unseen to the naked eye as they generally exist below the surface. By increasing the scale of my sculptures, I aim to create a growth-like appearance and make the invisible visible.

I achieve my artistic practice through hand-building techniques, specifically coiling and pinching, which belong to the historical traditions of ceramics. I paint my surfaces using the ancient method of terra sigillata and coloured stains. I have experimented with a range of dark clay bodies to replicate their appeal and make associations with all that lives and grows in fertile soils.

My creative process is to build organic forms that represent the textural nature of trees without a pre-planned design. Instead, I look at the process of engaging with the materiality and allowing it to guide the form. When building, I enjoy imagining how the shape will turn out; therefore, I follow where the clay goes and how it responds to my handwork, challenging the clay to ‘grow’ into its final form.

Type the name of award then "enter" to create a new line. Then select the line with the name of the award. We are about to turn the name of the award into a heading.

Add Tags so that the profile appears on Awards page

Tip! We are going to add TAGS to the metadata of the profile so that they will appear on the Awards page and in the award winner sections of the program/studio pages. The two required tags are: "2024 AWARD WINNER" and "AWARD WINNER". If relevant, also "2024 Award Deans".

If relevant, Type "dean" to find the Deans Award tag.

Save these settings by clicking the "Update" button
