Go to Invoices and find the reconciliation invoice that requires editing. Here you can see there is a negative $6 cash variance (ignore the GST as this usually has no GST). In this scenario the staff entered $200 as the cash amount when they performed the end of day reconciliation on POS. But I have recounted and the banking was $206

I need to remove a redo the payments in order to edit the invoice. I like to open the payments on a separate tab so I can reference these when I add the payments back later.

Now that I am ready to edit the invoice, I click on the payment I want to remove & redo

Select Remove & Redo. This will remove the payment from the invoice

Now that all the payments are removed I can edit the invoice. Select Invoice Options

I can click the 'x' on the Variance line as I need to remove this because there was no actual variance

Once I have finished editing the invoice click Update

I now need to enter the payments back to the invoice. I go to the tab where I opened the payments earlier in step 3.

At the bottom of the invoice you enter the payment amount, the date paid, the account this is paid to and reference. All this information is in the open tab we did in step 3. Once the information is added, click Add Payment

Click add payment to save the payment to the invoice

Each time you add a payment you will be returned to this screen. Click View Invoice to enter the next payment

IMPORTANT: When putting the House Account payment back on the invoice, ensure the account this is Paid To is the Current Liability account that holds the members House Account balance in Xero.

Once all payments have been added you should have zero dollars owing in the Amount Due total and no variance on the revenue lines.
