Go to the webpage you want to edit. Click "Edit".

The Page Description field is mandatory. If it is empty you will need to add.

Page description, also known as meta description, displays in search engine results. It doesn't display on the web page.

It helps users decide if the page in the search results is something they want to read.

Page descriptions must be between 50 and 160 characters

- be unique for each page on the site
- be clear and descriptive so that users can distinguish if it’s the right content for them
- describe why users would find the content on the page useful

Page descriptions must not:

- have jargon, acronyms, Cambridge-only terminology or your department’s name. [Use plain English words](https://www.plainenglish.co.uk/the-a-z-of-alternative-words.html) instead
- be duplicated elsewhere on the page, for example as an introduction in the banner

Homepage description example: Study undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Cambridge, one of the world’s oldest universities.

Find the component you want to update. If it's a text, find the Text component. Click "Edit".

To create more components, select "+ Add" underneath.

To add images, choose the "Media" component and then click the "Add Media" button. [Find out more about the image component](https://help.uis.cam.ac.uk/service/websites-and-intranets/websites/drupal-10/adding-images-drupal-10) and how use it correctly.

You can either choose an image from the Library or upload a new picture.  If you are uploading a new image, click "Choose file".

For accessibility reasons, provide "Alternative text" or mark the image as "Decorative"

You can add a caption that will display on the page underneath the picture.

When the image description is ready, click the "Save" button and then confirm by clicking "Insert selected".

You can incorporate multiple text and image components. Drag and drop each component into the desired position to rearrange them using the icon below.
