You may see at the top of the page several suggested identifiers under the  "Do these identify you?" section.

If you see suggested identifiers, you can review and decide if items associated with that identifier should be automatically claimed, ignored, or rejected in the future.

For each, you can click on the identifier to open it in that system and review (note, sometimes you'll need to log in). Underneath, it tells you how many of the works associated with that identifier you have already claimed and rejected, which may help you decide if it is yours and how to associate it.

For each suggested identifier you have 3 options, Yes, No, or Ignore.  If after reviewing you believe the identifier is indeed you, click Yes.

You have the option to set the system to 'Auto claim' or 'Auto suggest'.  Auto claim will mean anything the source system adds to the identifier will also be automatically added to your Elements.  You won't have to review and claim those items.  Select that if you didn't notice any issues and feel comfortable that it was accurate.  Typically this will work for most people.

If you review the source identifier and find that it is not your work, click "No"

Similar to claiming, you can decide to "Auto reject associated items", which means anything that is associated with that identifier will be rejected and never need your review.  Or you can tell the system to 'Ignore this ResearcherID', which means sometimes if a specific work seems to match those items may show in your pending items list, but not all of them.  

Ignoring is the 'safer' option, but if you are finding you have a lot of bad matches showing in your Pending list, Auto rejecting would be helpful.

You can also manually add identifiers under the 'Add external profiles' section. Click the link for the system you want to add, such as "ResearcherID"

You'll need to go to that system separately and find your ID, and then you can paste it into the pop-up box and work through the steps.

You can also have works automatically claimed based on if your email address is associated with the work. Just add all email addresses you have used when publishing by clicking "Email addresses" link.

Finally you can always review identifiers that you have rejected or ignored and change how the system handles them by clicking the "Not Mine" or "Ignored" tabs.
