This guide will help you to enable Secure Boot in the UEFI Bios for Windows 10/11 with a computer that has an ASUS Motherboard.

Be careful when changing BIOS settings. The BIOS menu is designed for advanced users, and it's possible to change a setting that could prevent your PC from starting correctly.

In the UEFI Bios interface, you can navigate and confirm using the Arrow Keys and Enter key on the keyboard or Mouse but if your keyboard or mouse is Bluetooth, they will not work.

When the device is completely shut down, persistently hold the **F2** key on the keyboard and simultaneously press the \[Power button\] to boot up. For some older desktop models, you may need to press and hold the **Del** key during startup to access the BIOS configuration screen.

Once the BIOS configuration screen appears, you may release the **F2** key.

The BIOS configuration screen below may vary slightly depending on the model of mainboard.

After entering the BIOS utility, press the **F7** key on your keyboard, or you can click on the **Advanced Mode** option on the screen

Enter the **Boot** screen, and then select **Secure Boot**

After entering Secure Boot, select **OS Type**, then select: - Windows UEFI mode will activate Secure Boot - Other OS will deactivate Secure Boot

Press the **F10** key on your keyboard Save the Changes & Reset, then click **Ok**

The computer will restart for the settings to take effect. As soon as it starts persistently hold the **F2** key on the keyboard and simultaneously press the Power button on your computer to boot up to again load the BIOS configuration screen

Select **Boot** and if there is an option to set Secure Boot Mode to **Custom**, do this and then select **Key Management** If the option for Custom is now visible, just select **Key Management**

Once in Key Management, select **Clear Secure Boot Keys** If this option is greyed out, then skip the next step and go to Install Default Keys

Choose **Yes** to confirm the deletion of all Secure Boot key databases

After deleting all Secure Boot key databases, select **Install Default Secure Boot Keys**

Choose **Yes** to confirm the installation of the factory default Secure Boot key database

Press the **F10** key on your keyboard, then click **Ok** to Save the settings and exit. The computer will restart for the settings to take effect.

When Windows loads and you are at the desktop screen, you can then check in System Information that Secure Boot is now enabled.
