Create a Lead from an Email

Learn how to create a new Lead into Maximizer from an email. This guide walks you through creating the Lead and entering contact details. The Maximizer CRM for Outlook App facilitates Lead creation right from Outlook, saving you time and keeping you efficient throughout your process.

Microsoft Outlook

Please note - for each of the steps in this exercise: - ALL fields marked by an asterisk (\*) are mandatory - If any of the mandatory fields remains unfilled, the "SAVE" button will stay greyed-out (disabled).

In Outlook select an email from someone that is not yet in Maximizer.

In the Maximizer panel you will see "Not in Maximizer"

Click the "+" symbol to add this person to Maximizer.

Choose "Add as Lead".

Click the "First Name" field and enter the person's first name.

Click the "Last Name" field and enter the person's last name. The Last Name is a mandatory field, so you must fill this field in.

The "Email" field will automatically populate the email address.

Click "Phone 1" to enter the phone number for this person. Click "+ Add phone" if you wish to enter more than one phone number for this person.

Click "Company" to enter a Company name if desired.

Click "Position" and enter the person's position / role if desired.

Click "Website" and enter the website if desired.

Click "Address line 1" and enter the mailing address if desired.

Click "Address line 2" and enter a suite or apartment number.

Click "City" and enter the city name.

Click "State/Province" and enter that information.

Click "Zip/Postal code" to enter that information.

Click "Country" to select the country for this person.

Click "SAVE" to create the Lead record.

Click "New lead created successfully." message will display.

Click on the name to access the record.

The "Lead" title will display above the name of the person. Click the back arrow next to "Lead" to return to the main screen.

Congratulations! You have just created a Lead in Maximizer from an email.
