Type your target keyword into the text bar

Find the KD% filter and click the down arrow to open options

In the custom range, type a max of 50. This will show you keywords that are very easy to rank for, easy to rank for, and possible to rank for, but will omit keywords that are difficult, hard, or very hard to rank for. 

Click "Apply" to see only those keywords in the list. 

You can then sort the KD% column by lowest completion, or work with the highest search volume, for find the most on-topic keyword for your article.  If you don't see any options, the topic is too competitive. Try browsing related terms, questions, or trying a new keyword. 

When your website is new or lacks domain authority (weak backlink profile), you must create content optimized for low-competition keywords. I use SEMrush, but you can use your favorite keyword tool.
