Starting on a new building with No BWoF Data entered, the Dashboard will display as follows, with 'BWoF N/A' as the status.

To update the status, Click "Building Settings".

There are 3 options for setting the BWoF for a building, as shown below. Click 'Edit' and select the applicable option and click 'Update'.

If the selected options is 'BWoF not required' or 'BWoF required & managed Externally', The Dashboard status will display as such. With these statuses set, active BWoF management within BMIS is not expected, however it may be useful to make use of the [BWoF Compliance Documents page](https://bmis.nz/support/bwof/bwof-compliance-documents/) to store archived BWoF documents.

If the selected options is 'BWoF not required' or 'BWoF required & managed Externally', The Dashboard status will display as such.

In most cases where BWoF will be managed within BMIS, for the building setting Click "BWoF Required & Managed Internally". This will reveal more data fields to complete.

Select the relevant Building Consent Authority option.

Enter the BWoF Anniversary Date in format DD-MM (for example 08-11 would be the 8th of November)

Click on either the current BWoF (Form 12) or B-RaD to upload the current document. If the Compliance Schedule is less then 12 months old, Upload the Compliance Schedule Statement in the place of the BWoF Document.

The building status now shows as "BWoF Current".

Next: Click "View all" on the Specified Systems card.

The Specified Systems (SS) page only displays the active SS by default. Select the "All" option on the filter to display all SS. To enable SS follow the steps outlined at <https://bmis.nz/support/bwof/specified-systems/>
