Welcome to the tutorial for how to request that a new position be added to UCSD's Co-Curricular Record (CCR). Today, I’ll walk you through the process step by step, ensuring you know how to navigate the application and meet the necessary criteria.

Before adding a position, the first step is to verify if it meets CCR criteria.

Carefully review the requirements to ensure your position aligns with the standards set by CCR.

To start adding position to your record, log in to your CCR account.

Start by selecting 'Student' on the login page.

If you want to add existing position to your record, click Co-Curricular Module.

Make sure to search for your position to see if it's already approved in the [CCR Catalog](https://myccr.ucsd.edu/ccr-catalog.htm). If it's not listed, click '**Co-Curricular Module**' and then '**Request a Position**.' Follow these steps.

Click the "**Add**" button to begin the application.

Choose the appropriate category from the list of four. Do NOT click "Add New", as the application will be declined.

Select a Department/Organization/College/Student Organization.

If your Department/Organization/College/Student Organization is not on the record, you can create one by clicking "Add New".

If your Department/Organization/College/Student Organization is already on CCR, you can find your department and select it.

If your activity is not in the list, you can add your activity by selecting "Add New".

Write 1-2 sentences about the Department or Organization, its goals, mission statement, etc.

Write the name of program, office, or student organization. Note that this is not the specific position.

Write the description of your activity. Activity description in the CCR correlates to description of the program, office, or student organization.

Select the year of activity and make sure it matches the time period you identified at the beginning.

Add the official website for your Activity if it is available.

Add Contact Email of your activity if it is available.

If your activity is in the list, you can select the activity.

Note that the short description must use past tense, gender-neutral language, and start with an action verb, like on a resume. Keep it concise—one sentence under 300 words.

Write the tasks you need to complete as part of the position.

Add any additional position information you'd like other students to be aware of.

Write how you signed up for this position.

These are the example of how you could sign up for the position.

Indicate whether the position offers compensation.

Answer the following question. Note that All CCR Recognized Positions must offer a minimum of 30 hours of active engagement throughout the Academic Year.

Click the method that validator can track your completion of the 30 hour requirement.

Confirm that the position does not also count for academic credit (course credit) on your academic transcript.

Click "Manage Assignable Competencies - choose at minimum 3"

Choose at least three relevant competencies that align with your position. A QR code is available for more information on these competencies.

Select the toggle for your relevant Competencies. You must choose at least 3.

Finally, add the validator’s contact information and click 'Finish.'

Once submitted, your position will appear on your record after validator approval. Congratulations! You’ve successfully added a position to your CCR.
