Once a grade appeal is submitted, the course instructor will review and make a decision based on the information that is submitted as part of the appeal. If the grade appeal is denied by the instructor, you will receive an email notification and will have 7 calendar days to escalate the appeal if you feel the decision is not aligned with the syllabus or USG eCampus policy.

Log into the [SEADS Student Portal](https://seads.ecampus.usg.edu).

Scroll down the SEADS home page to the Student Submitted Forms section. Click the "Grade Appeal Requests" tab

Click the case number for your current grade appeal.

On the case page, you can review all details related to the grade appeal. Click the green button to Escalate the Grade Appeal form to the Assistant Dean.

Review the information in the Grade Appeal Escalation pop-up box. Read through the disclaimers and click the check box by each one to acknowledge you have read and understand them. Then, click "Next"

Enter a phone number where the Assistant Dean can reach you if more information is needed. Then, click next.

A new written statement explaining why the grade appeal was not resolved to your satisfaction by the instructor and any relevant documentation to demonstrate why the instructor's decision was not aligned with the course syllabus or USG eCore policy as defined in the Student Guide is required. Click "Upload Files" to attach your documents, then click Submit.
