Many people don't realize that they may be accessing library subscription resources when they search Google Scholar. The steps below help ensure that they can fully access these resources.

Navigate to <https://scholar.google.com/>

Click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.

Make sure that the following 3 resources are checked: "St. Mary's University - Link to online/fulltext," "St. Mary's University San Antonio - Find It @ St. Mary's," and "Open WorldCat - Library Search". When using campus wifi, these should automatically be enabled. Click "Save".

Make sure the box in front of "Signed-in off-campus access links" is checked. Click "Save".

Here is an example search for the topic "genetics and GMO and ethics".

We can customize the publication dates by clicking "Custom range..."

To limit the search to the most recent 10 years, type "2014".

Click "Search". To access full-text articles, click on the links in the right hand column. Items that name specific subscription databases, such as [heinonline.org](http://heinonline.org) and/or that read "Find It @ St. Mary's" are retrieved through our subscription databases.
