How to Upload Files and Extend Files Access for Tenants

This guide shows how to upload files to the correct tenant files tab and how to grant or extend tenant access with specific permissions (view, download, upload) and an expiration date. It prevents mislinking files by emphasizing correct tab selection, explains drag-and-drop or click-to-upload, and covers copying access info to share with tenants. How to Navigate to Tenant Files

From the navigation menu, select **Tenants** > Locate the **tenant** > Select the tenant's **three-dot menu** > Select **Files.**

How to Upload Files

**The Companies, Properties, Tenants, and Contacts modules/dashboards have a Files tab that links to the specific company, property, tenant, contact, vendor, and insurance. Since they have their own module/dashboard, do NOT create folders for these in Files.** BEFORE YOU START, BE SURE TO NAVIGATE TO THE CORRECT FILES TAB SO THE FILE(S)/FOLDER(S) LINK TO THE CORRECT COMPANY, PROPERTY, TENANT, OR CONTACT.

Select **Click or Drop Files Here**.

Locate **the file** on your computer > Double click **the file** or drag and drop **the file** to the files list or to a folder in the files list.

How to Extend Access

Select the **QR code**.

Select **Manage Access**.

Select the checkboxes for the **appropriate permissions**. **Show all folder files** - Allows the tenant to view all of the folders and files. **Allow Downloading** - Allows the tenant to download files. **Allow Uploading** - Allow the tenant to upload files.

Select a **date to extend access until**. The tenant will have access through the chosen date.

Select **Extend Access**.

Select the **copy** icon to copy the text to your clipboard > Paste the text in an email, Excel spreadsheet, or preferred method for sharing with the tenant.
