Navigate over to the 'Settings' -&gt; 'Taxes' tab

Click the checkbox to turn the tax on or off

Under 'Tax', enter the internal name of the tax

Under 'Tax Display Name', enter the outward facing name of the tax

Under 'Tax Code', enter the internal name of the tax

The 'Tax System' category labels the taxes by either 'Custom' made or by 'Avalara' generated

To enter a country state(or province), open the dropdown menu and either search or find the area you are looking for
