The first step is to create a workflow.  Depending on whether this is a one time email (think of a monthly newsletter) or an automated campaign (think a nurture campaign), you'll want to select how you want your campaign to start.  If it's a one time email, we recommend using the "Specific date" option.  This will be the date (and time) that will be the time your email will be sent.

Enter the starting criteria of the workflow.  In this example, we're going to use an "Active" list.

In the workflow enrollment option, we've selected "List memberships".

In this example, we're using the 300K List which is an "Active" list in HubSpot.

In this example, we want the email to send at 10:00am, so are updating the delay step to reflect this.

Underneath the delay step, click the "+" sign to add another workflow action.

Depending on how many audience segments you want to create (options include a two, three and five audience segments) select the appropriate split test automation action.  In this example, we're creating three audience segments.

Click "cohort" which will then create three branches based on this property.

You'll now have three branches or audience segments to test or treat differently than one another.  Underneath each "Cohort", place your alternative flows or emails. 

The "None met" branch is there in case there is a communication error between HubSpot and Split test automation.  You do not need to create anything under this branch, however, if you'd like to take a belt and suspenders approach, you can treat this as a default branch in case there are issues.
