Alert! Once a visit has passed through the Operations Worklist and has been cleared of all warnings, the Billing Status will automatically be set to "Unbilled". It is CRUCIAL that you change the visits' Billing Statuses from "Unbilled" to "Ready to Bill" when you are ready to bill for the visits on the list. By changing the statuses from Unbilled to Ready to Bill, you indicate that you have reviewed the visits and the information is what you want to bill for.

Tip! At least once per week, you should update the billing statuses of the visits on the Unbilled Page of the Billing Worklist from "Unbilled" to "Ready to Bill".

Under Smart Billing, click on the "Billing Worklist"

You will see a screen that looks like this. Then click the "Unbilled Visits" button

Select the visits you want set to "Ready to Bill" by clicking on the blue boxes.

Once selected, you will see a blue check mark in the box.

Click this blue box at the VERY TOP to mark ALL the visits ready to bill. If you want to bill for all the visits and not a subset of the "Unbilled" visits.

When they all have check marks you have marked them all.

Click "CHANGE STATUS" to set them to ready to bill! They will not change over unless you hit this button AFTER you click on the blue box.

This pop up will then appear. Click "Choose Option"

Click "Ready to Bill" to set them to ready to bill.

Click the "Type total billing work list items to update status (#)..." you will then have to type in the number that you want to bill for. (You will see how many you have selected in the first sentence under the "Billing Status" dropdown.)

Type the number of visits you want to submit to billing. The number will be bolded at the top!

Click "UPDATE" to set all Billing Statuses to " Ready to bill."

Visit Statuses now end at "Completed", and the "Ready to Bill" status has been moved from a "Visit Status" to a "Billing Status".  If you bill claims to Georgia DCH, or North Carolina MCOs, this process is crucial for claim submission.

How do I mark visits "Ready to Bill"?
