Developer Note: imgix defaults the Cache TTL Behavior mode for all new Google Cloud Storage Sources to "Enforce minimum". This applies a max-age=1yr, public to all files whether they have a header or not. This is done to ensure that caching works on all files.

If you have already set Cache-Control headers on your asset files, you can change the Cache TTL Behavior setting to "Respect origin" via the Edit Source page post-Source-deployment.

Start by navigating to the Cloud Storage Settings page, [https://console.cloud.google.com/storage/settings](https://console.cloud.google.com/storage/settings).

Choose the project you want to connect to imgix from the dropdown menu.

Scroll down until you find the "Access keys for your user account" section. Select the "Create A Key" button to generate your Access and Secret Keys.

Before proceeding onto the next steps, take this moment to store your Access and Secret Keys in a secure location for future use.

Once you have securely stored your credentials, input your Access and Secret Access Keys into the corresponding imgix Source Creation fields.

Lastly, input the name of the storage bucket that you want to link to imgix.

If you don’t know the name of your bucket navigate to the Cloud Storage "Buckets" page, [https://console.cloud.google.com/storage/buckets](https://console.cloud.google.com/storage/buckets).

Congratulations! You should now have all the credentials needed to connect imgix to your Google Cloud Storage media assets. In the next step of our Source creation process, you’ll create a subdomain for your imgix Source.
