Navigate to https://ctda.i8.dgicloud.com/ and login with your user account.

Click the title of the file you wish to embargo.

From the Embargo Type select either File or Node. File will embargo the media while still allowing the metadata to display. Selecting Node will result in both the media and the metadata being hidden from the site except for authorized users.

From the Expiration Type menu, select "Scheduled"

From the Expiration Date menu, choose a date to have the embargo end.

Optional: From the list of exempt users, a user from within the system can be added so they can view and manage the object while it is embargoed.  Group administrators can always see embargoed content for their group.

Then Click "Save" to apply your embargo settings.

To verify your embargo has been applied, click "Groups"

Click the title of the object you added the file level embargo. If you selected a node level embargo it may not display in this list if you do not have access to that item while it is under embargo.

View the item that is embargoed at the File level and you will notice the metadata displays and there is a notice further down the page that the item is embargoed. Click "Embargoes" to review the settings or to change this to a Node level embargo so neither the file (media) or metadata display while under embargo.

Click "Edit" if you wish to change the type of embargo or other details.

From the Embargo Type drop-down menu you can change the embargo type if you wish to alter it.

Click "Save" to apply these new settings.
