Enable  'Allow locations to have custody of items'.

Go to the Assets listing page to perform the checkout.

The checkout overlay will appear, enable the 'Checkout to Location' button

From the "Select Location" dropdown, choose the Location you want to checkout the Asset to.

Here you will be able to see the custody of the Asset listed as Location. It is recommended to have the Location and Custody column side by side to view the exact custody location.

You can also view all assets in the custody of a Location by going to the Location details page. For example, here we view 'NYC Office'

From the dropdown select "Custody of this location"

When the filter is applied, all assets under the custody of this Location will be shown:

All assets checked out to locations will show 'Location' under the custody column.
