You may have been assigned as a HSNO inspector and received an email inviting you to perform a HSNO inspection using the BMIS inspection platform. The email will look like it does below. To begin the inspection click on the 'Access' link provided in the email. You will not need a username or password to access the inspection.

The inspection information page will be shown. To begin the inspection, Click "Proceed with inspection" button.

The inspection has 2 pages, with the first page providing a summary of information about the Location, Inventory, Substances, Controls, Training, Certification & additional information. Scroll down the page to review all available information.

In the substance list, click on a substance to reveal more information, including access to the SDS.

In the controls list, click on a control to reveal more information.

Click on 'Review' at the bottom of the page to move onto the next page to perform the review.

The first section if the review will take you through a series of questions about the location, which you can answer, Yes, No or N/A to, as well as add any remedial tasks that relate to the questions.

Some questions are not applicable to all locations, so are greyed out when this is the case.

If there is information pertinent to the question, the information is available on demand by clicking the yellow icon after the title.

Use the left and right arrows to navigate back and forth through the questions.

The next section is the inventory stock take. Use the yes, No & N/A buttons to check the physical quantities held are the same or less than those held in the inventory. You can also add remedial actions against each of the substances in the inventory.

The last section allows you to add new site photos. You can upload images, or take new images on a mobile device.

Click the "Type Your Note here" field to add a caption to the image, and update the date is required.

Once the form is complete, Click "Complete Inspection".

Click "Confirm" to finish the process, this will redirect you to the BMIS homepage and the building manager will get an email notification that the inspection is complete.
