In this visual guide we are going to create a new Trigger that will check for Proposals that have been signed and have a value greater than $10,000. If that condition is true then the system will start an Action Plan called Priority Planning.
Navigate to the Triggers Tab under Settings.
    Click on Create New Trigger
Enter Trigger Name: for this example we typed "Proposal > 10K"
Triggers apply to only one Contact Type. \ Make sure to select your desired Contact Type to which this Trigger will be applied.
Choose the Notification that this Trigger will be based on.\ For this example we will choose Proposal Signed.
A Trigger can be based solely on the Notification (does not require a Condition).\ However in this case we want this Trigger to have a conditional test to make sure the Deal Size is greater than $10,000. \ To add a Condition click on the + icon to the right of the selected Notification.
A new row will be inserted.\ The first field will allow you to select the Contact's Field Label that will be tested for this Trigger's Condition. For this example we will choose 'Deal Size'.
Now select the Matching Option... \ Think in you mind, will the Contact's Field value be ...?\ \ Note: Based on the Contact Field selected, the system will show appropriate Matching Options.
Now enter the value. In this case we will enter 10000.\ Notice, we did NOT enter any formatting. We did not enter $10,000.\ We only entered 10000.
This Condition Line now reads: Deal Size Greater Than 10000.\ We could enter more conditions by clicking on the + icon to the right of this line.\ We could remove this condition by clicking the - icon to the right.\ \ For now we are going to move on to the Action to be performed.
The default Action is to initiate an Action Plan.\ So all we have to do is select the desired Action Plan that will be initiated when this Notification is Triggers and this Condition is met.\ \ For our example we will choose Priority Planning.
    Click "Priority Planning"
Tip! Action Plans are designed to go to the Contact, while Texts and Emails are sent to the Account Owner only.
    Click "Save"
Our new Trigger is added to the List of Triggers.
The Sort Order is important!\ The system will evaluate the Triggers from the top down. Once a match is found the system will take appropriate actions and then stop.\ In the list shown, there are five (5) Triggers checking for Proposal Signed.\ Depending on the Conditions, the system will process either none (0) or one (1) of the 5 options.
