Name it and select your platform and then select Glide table as data source.

Double-click here to configure the first column.

Change the type to URL since this is where our audio is going to be stored at.

Select type OpenAI -&gt; "Speech to text"

And the audio data source would be from our first column "Audio URL".

Don't forget to rename the table for better project management.

Add a new table to store transcribed text notes that we'd like to save.

Double-click here to rename the new table to something like "saved notes"

Call it "Audio URL" since we would like to be able to trace it back to the original audio source in the future.

Let's head back to the Layout tab to build out our interface.

Let's first add a page where user can record their audio and get a transcribed notes automatically.

First, we add "Audio Recorder" for recording our voice notes.

Then, "Audio" which is used to playback our recorded audio.

Lastly, "Hint" which is used to display transcribed notes.

You may have noticed that only "Hint" is currently visible on the canvas. It is normal since we have not hook them up with data sources yet, so Auido Recorder and Audio components would not show anything.

Change the Save To data source to "Audio URL" - this is where our audio is gooing to be saved.

Now, let's move on to our Audio component.

And it is already configured correctly! This basically means that this Audio component will always load the newest Audio file that we record.

Click this icon to select a dynamic data source.

Click "Speech to text" go make sure that this Hint component always display the latest transcription from the latest audio file recorded

Here we can configure the look of the HInt component - you can go crazy here.

I have select Success to make the component green.

Click "Record" to test it! The beauty of Glide is that you can test your app right from the canvas!

Now let's go to the Actions tab on the HInt component.

We will add an action called "Save this note"

Click "Add action" to define what happens when this action button is clicked.

And for our "Notes" field, we do not want to store our Audio URL.

Instead, we want to store "Speech to text" in that column.

For "Audio URL", click on this three-dots icon.

And select "Audio URL" as the input value.

We can see that the note has been successfully saved. Now, we can head back to the Layout tab to build out a page to display all the saved notes.

Let's add a new page based on "saved notes" table.

And, here we go! We can see all the saved notes in our table.

And you have successfully created a simple voice to test note taking app on Glide! Now, go extend this app to make it more feature fledged!
