After downloading the data, unzip the folder and you will see new folders of data within it, corresponding to each of the plugins you will process data in:

- Colorfinder Sample Data
- Full Motion Video Sample Data
- Hotspots Sample Data
- Orthomosaic Sample Data

Navigate to [https://app.mapnova.com/](https://app.mapnova.com/)

First we will create the orthomosaic layer. \

Click the "Create Ortho Layer" button

Navigate to the Sample Data Folder in your files, open the "Orthomosaic Sample Data - Nova" and select all the photos in the folder.

Your photos will stage in the upload modal, make sure that "Process after uploading is selected" and then Click "Upload Files"

The photos will begin uploading and automatically start processing once uploaded. Once complete the ortho will be available to turn on in the layer panel (left panel where it says "Orthomosaic 1" above.

Now we will process the Full Motion Video dataset

Navigate to your Sample Data folder in your files, open the "Full Motion Video Sample Data - Nova" folder" and select both the .MP4 and the .SRT files from the folder.

Click "Upload Files". You will see both the .MP4 and the .SRT file are in the upload modal. The .SRT file is what provides the drones flight path, location, orientation and field of view box on the map.

Once the upload and processing is complete, the Video Layer will be available to be enabled in the layer panel.

Now we will process imagery in the Colorfinder tool!

You are prompted to click "Import Video" or "Import Images". For this exercise we will click the "Import Images". If you want to import video, follow the same steps as Full Motion Video above. \

Click "Import Images"

Navigate to your Sample Data folder in your files, open the "Colorfinder Sample Data - Nova" folder", then open "Image Colorfinder" folder and select all the photos in the folder.

The photos will now stage in the upload modal. 

Click "Upload Files"

Once the upload and processing is complete, the Colorfinder Layer will be available to be enabled in the layer panel.

Now we will process data in the Hotspot tool!

Click "Automated Detection" to upload the thermal photos

Navigate to your Sample Data folder in your files, open the "Hotspots Sample Data - Nova" folder", then open "IR" folder and select all the photos in the folder.

The photos will now stage in the upload modal

Click "Upload Files"

Once the upload and processing is complete, the Hotspots Layer will be available to be enabled in the layer panel.

We can change the Primary Name of our project by clicking here

We can also apply a Secondary Name, this could be an incident code, date or any other secondary identifier. This is not required.

We can also adjust our base layers. Click this image.

Click "Satellite". your base layer will change.

Our Fire needs a perimeter, let's now upload the perimeter file from our Sample Data Nova folder.

You can either draw a fire perimeter, if there is not one already created, or import a KML file for a perimeter that is created. Click "Import Fire Perimeter".

Navigate to your Sample Data folder in your files, open the "Hotspots Sample Data - Nova" folder", select the "fire_perimeter_sample_data.kml".

Your fire perimeter is now active in the workspace.

Congratulations! You have now successfully uploaded and processed data in the Nova Platform. Next, add icons, lines, polygons and try exporting a map for an area of interest.
