How to Export Journals

Export a patient's journal history as a PDF for records requests, transfers, or audits. Choose a time range and the export combines every journal entry, its attachments, and any Jotform forms or paperwork into one PDF, or several for large exports. It runs in the background so you can keep working. For HIPAA, every page shows the patient name, date of birth, patient ID, clinic name, and export date.

Navigate to the patient's 360 account.

Under the Journals tab, click the Export icon.

You can choose from: This year, All time, or Select years.

When choosing Select years, the number of entries in the range is shown on the right.

Click Export PDF. The PDF includes every journal entry in the range, plus its attachments and any forms or paperwork. Note: Large exports are split into several PDFs.

To keep working while the export runs, click the "Minimize" button. When it finishes, the PDF downloads automatically, and a "Journal export ready" notice appears with a Download again option.
