In this guide, we'll show you how to send a fax by email using your regular email client. You can use Outlook, Apple Mail, or any other client, but for this tutorial, we’ll demonstrate using Gmail.

In the "To" field, enter the fax number, including the country code, followed by @[faxmessage.net](http://faxmessage.net).

In the "Subject" line, type your optional fax subject. This will appear on the fax's header and cover page.

If your email address is already registered with your fax account, you can proceed to the next step.

However, if you're using a different email address, you’ll need to include your fax account credentials in the subject line in the following format:

Subject followed by u=yourfaxusername p=yourfaxpassword

Type your message in the body of the email. This will appear on the optional cover page of the fax.

Only one file can be attached per email, but there’s no limit on the number of pages within that file.

Click "Send." 

Once the email is sent, you will receive a notification with the results of the fax.
