We recommend our users to update their rates in the **Channel Manager** when you want to adjust the rate for a **certain period**. For example, consider seasonal pricing. However, if you want to change the base rate **permanently**, please do so in **My Property.** Changes made in My Property will not reflect in the Channel Manager. Important to note here is the following: Direct bookings through the Booking Engine can be made up to max 2 years ahead. Bookings through channels can only be made 1 year in advance.
This Help Centre Article has three sections that provide steps on how to update: - your rates per category - one rate at a time - in a bulk action
Navigate to the Channel Manager in your RoomRaccoon account.

Select the date period. E.g. perhaps you'd like to increase your rates for the upcoming weekend.
Select the start date.

Select the relevant days that you'd like the increase to apply on. E.g. for a weekend increase, you will de-select Sun - Thurs.
Click here to manually change the price of the rate plan. E.g. below, I change the price from 114 to 120.
Read the "summary" on the right side of the screen to ensure you have selected all the relevant information and made the desired changes.
Once you're certain you've chosen the right changes, click "Synchronise"
Once you click synchronise, all your changes will immediately be sent to all your active connections. I.e. [Booking.com](http://Booking.com), Expedia, Agoda, Airbnb, etc.
You can double check that your changes have been applied by looking back in the channel manager overview at the relevant dates.

Update Rates One Rate at a Time

**Update Rates One Rate at a Time** Why would you update a single rate? - On a quiet weekend with low occupancy, you might want to discount a particular rate in order to encourage bookings. - If you are fully booked and you want to increase your rates to maximise revenue.
Click on the rate plan you'd like to update.
Click on the price and type the price you would like it to be. Once done, click on the tick to confirm the update.
