How to Merge Duplicate Person Profiles

To merge profiles, your persona must have the "Merge Profiles" permission enabled.

You cannot merge profiles that have active/pending workflows. To merge, ensure all workflows are finished or removed.

Locate the duplicate records and click into the person you want to keep (this will be referenced as Profile A). The other record will be merged into Profile A.

Click the three dot menu

Click "Merge Person"

Search for the other record you wish to merge. This will be referred to as Profile B and will be deleted at the end.

Select the record

Click "Continue"

You will see a popup window that lists the data from both profiles, with the updated, merged data in the middle column.

To quickly fill any missing fields in Profile A with data from Profile B, click the "Automatically fill the missing value" field. This will populate any fields in Profile A that are empty with data from profile B.

For example, here you can see the professional email is blank in Profile A, and we have used the value from Profile B in the Updated Data column.

For work experience, you can combine both Profile A and Profile B experience, if desired.

If both profiles have "Currently Working Here" assigned for the work experience, the experience from Profile A will take precedent and remain as the active place of employment.

Continue to work through the fields and select the appropriate values. Note that for Compliance Documents, References, Jobs, Placements, Attachments and Interaction History we will merge ALL Profile B records into Profile A. - For example, if Profile A has 5 attachments and Profile B has 5 attachments, after merging, Profile A will have 10 attachments. - For example, if Profile A has 3 emails and Profile B has 2 phone calls, after merging, Profile A will have 3 emails and 2 phone calls.

Any jobs or placements where Profile B is the Hiring Manager or Candidate, will be reassigned to Profile A

Once you are happy with your selection, click "Merge Profiles"

Confirm you are absolutely happy with your decision - please be aware that this is an **IRREVERSIBLE** process.

Wait a few seconds whilst the data is merged

Once completed, you will a green confirmation message. The process is now completed.

On Profile A, you will now see the merged data

Profile B has now been deleted and is no longer accessible
