How to Request an ILL Through the Library

This guide provides a straightforward process for requesting interlibrary loans (ILL) through the DePauw University Library, making it easy for users to access materials not available in their own library. Navigate to [https://www.depauw.edu/library/](https://www.depauw.edu/library/)

Click the "Search books, articles, journals, and more" field.

Search for your chosen topic, using keywords is recommended!

Hit the " [[Enter]]" key on your keyboard

You can request an ILL or Purchase from the results screen, even if the items are not available at DePauw University Library

You can click into the item details if you need more information to decide if the resource is useful, Click "Access Options," and then choose "Request ILL or Purchase" from the dropdown menu

The system will prompt you to login and automatically populates the request form. Select the format option that bests suits your needs

Click "Submit request"

You will then see your requests page for all ILLs, including the title we just requested

You will receive an email confirming your request and another when your item is delivered, either physically at Roy O. West Library or digitally.
